About Medically-Based Fitness
"Medically-Based Fitness is dedicated to improved health, function, and quality of life through EXERCISE"
Medically-Based Fitness (MBF) is a comprehensive Physical Therapy Company established in 1996
with three locations in Boulder County. We specialize in physical therapy, exercise rehabilitation,
and wellness education. All programs are custom designed and provide personal attention at every
visit. MBF is dedicated to the premise that exercise is a vital tool for the recovery from a variety
of serious medical conditions and regaining function. We believe that a customized, individualized
exercise program can substantially improve quality of life in people with chronic diseases, and can
restore joy, energy and stamina as well as self-esteem and self-efficacy - the ability to perform one's
activities of daily living independently.
After treating clients for years and helping them achieve their goals, we have found there are virtually no
medical conditions that do not improve symptomatically or functionally with properly directed,
supervised and applied exercise programming. Whether it is a chronic condition or the de-conditioning
that is a part of the aging process, the benefits of exercise are profoundly life-changing, and give a
person the ability to do activities that they have not done for years. Our clients have a new view
of life's horizon because they have seen improvements in their energy level, self-esteem and
confidence improve, and their social interactions increase because exercise has become the
cornerstone of their friendships.
We also understand and apply the principles of exercise therapy for recovery from orthopedic injuries
and surgeries. Our clients recover faster, and have long –term results due to our exercise and
education approach which stresses the importance of prevention and improvement of sport or work
related activities.
We utilize a multi-disciplinary approach to treatment, incorporating the expertise of our physical
therapists, exercise physiologists as well as information from valid and published medical research in various medical journals.
This approach greatly enhances our ability to incorporate therapeutic exercise with rehabilitative
techniques.
Over the years, 200 physicians in the Boulder/Longmont area and neighboring communities have referred
patients to MBF. We know one thing, for sure-exercise does make a difference. Let MBF show you how
to improve the quality of your life.
