Medically-Based Personal Training provides you with the opportunity to establish or re-define your exercise goals with the assistance of an Exercise Physiologist. All MBF Exercise Physiologists have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science or Exercise Physiology. This additional education means that our staff can provide thorough explanations of the expected physiological responses to exercise interventions, incorporating research into practice.

You are able to begin personal training after a minimum of two exercise testing sessions (SubMax Aerobic Test & Strength Test). A typical personal training session is an hour long and consists of aerobic and strength training. Your Exercise Physiologist is with you the whole time to provide feedback about your form and to choose the most beneficial exercises for you.

After several weeks of personal training or group exercise, we recommend that you participate in additional exercise testing sessions. Periodic exercise testing provides objective feedback about physiological responses to exercise and how these responses change over time. We use these testing sessions to evaluate your progress and modify strategies to help you achieve your exercise goals and keep you motivated.

Additionally, with your consent, we correspond with your physicians or other health care providers to ensure an appropriate plan of care to meet your specific needs.

Price:
$65/hour

*Testing is an additional fee.
